About the film
This was a filming experience of a lifetime. The project started as we first traveled to Saudi Arabia for a commercial shoot, with little knowledge of the culture. After a few local encounters, we discovered the underground music scene and met young, aspiring people. We came face-to-face with unique stories and places, falling in love with the openness that we got surrounded with and that we have never experienced elsewhere. There was no other choice but to explore this further and capture it on film.
With the help of Trust we formed a mobile film crew that fits into a SUV. We started a road trip across the Saudi Arabia, meeting different young people from the worlds of art, theatre, music, film, and fashion. Each person open new doors to us. We talked about fashion, about choices and about future. The film is a collection of these portraits documenting these young people and this fascinating period in Saudi history.
