This was a filming experience of a lifetime. The project started from the ground up. We first traveled to Saudi Arabia for a commercial shoot, with little knowledge of the culture. After a few local encounters, we discovered the underground music scene and met young, aspiring people. We came face-to-face with unique stories and places falling in love with the openness that we have never experienced elsewhere. There was no other choice but to explore this further.

 

With the help of Trust Films we formed a small film crew that fits into a car, packed with 16mm film rolls. We started a road trip across the country, meeting young people from the worlds of art, theatre, music, film, and fashion. Each individual presented to us three outfits of their choice and brought us to a specific place. We explored their stories and gathered them into an 18-minute documentary portrait film.
